Jerusalem voted best Africa Middle East city

This by the readers of “Travel and Leisure” magazine. Capr Town came in Second and Tel Aviv Third
 
The readers of "Travel and Leisure" magazine have voted Jerusalem the best city in the Middle East / Africa. Beating out Cape Town, Tel Aviv, Amman, Marrakesh and Petra, Jerusalem was chosen for “sights, culture / arts, restaurants / food, people, shopping, value.
 
Tel Aviv was not far behind at number 3. This is the first time since 2000 that Jerusalem was voted to the top spot and the first time that Tel Aviv made it to third place.
 
In second place for those who are curious is Cape Town, South Africa. Readers were asked to respond to a questionnaire which ranked cities according to sights, culture and arts, restaurants and food, people, shopping and value. The results are published each year in the magazine’s August issue.
