Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon said it was important to increase the number of direct flights between the two countries.
Making a pitch for developing the tourism industry, Israeli ambassador noted that "To develop tourism, it is important to increase the number of direct flights from India to Israel".
Ambassador Carmon delivered a lecture on the topic “A fresh perspective of bilateral relations between India and Israel”, for the members of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Some areas that could be possible for strengthening trade relations include pharmaceuticals, agriculture, IT, telecommunication and security related products, he said.
Underlining the areas of cooperation between the two countries, he said that future areas of growth include water and energy sector. Currently, the volume of tourists between the two countries is 50,000.
