Wizz Air announced new route from Riga, Latvia to Tel Aviv

Lowcost airline Wizz Air, a Hungarian low-cost airline with its head office in Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, announced a new flight route from Riga, Latvia, to Tel Aviv.

The flights will be operating from June 20, twice a week on Monday and Friday, with tickets starting from NIS 239 one way.

Riga adds to the list of Eastern European cities already connected to Ben Gurion by WizzAir: Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Katowice, Prague, Sofia, Vilinius and Lviv.

The long awaited service from Wizz Air now allows people the opportunity to travel between Latvia and Israel on very low fares while enjoying excellent onboard service.

Gabor Vasarhelyi, Communications Manager at Wizz Air said: “WIZZ has today delivered great news for Latvia consumers. Tel Aviv is now available on our low fares from Riga allowing business and leisure travelers to visit the “city that never sleeps” from only EUR 49.99. Stimulating air travel between Latvia and Israel, we see tourism and hospitality sectors benefiting from our newest service as well as strengthening business relations between the two countries."
