The low-cost carrier easyJet, has been given the go-ahead to commence direct Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion flights by the French civil aviation authority (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile - DGAC).

Following the DGAC's announcement, the company announced a new route between Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, starting March 30 2015.

The flights will be operated on three days: Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The new route will become easyJet’s ninth from Tel Aviv and will enable it to fly more than half a million passengers a year into and out of Israel on 37 weekly departures to London (Gatwick), London (Luton), Manchester, Geneva, Basel, Rome, Milan, Berlin, and now Paris.

easyJet launched its Tel Aviv route in 2009, and now the low-cost air carrier plans to try and become number two in the Israeli market.
