El Al Airlines announced last week that it will add four weekly flights to Paris starting from 26th of April 2010 due to increasing demand in the business sector. The company already has 14 scheduled flights to the French capital per week.
Eli Cohen, El Al’s Vice President of Commercial & Industry Affairs, said that the route to Paris is very popular with both the business and tourist sectors. “In light of the heavy demand at this time on the Paris route from the business sector, we took thedecision to expand the network of flights and to add an early morning flight to Paris.”
El Al announced that flight LY319 will depart from Ben Gurion Airport for Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning at 05:55 arriving in Paris at 10:00. Flight LY320 will depart from Paris Charles De Gaulle at 11:25 on those same days, arriving in Tel Aviv at 16:55. This is in addition to the existing flight on the route every Friday.
The additional flights will use aircraft type Boeing 737-800 with a cabin configuration of Business and Economy class, while on Friday the flight will be on a Boeing 777 which will have First, Business and Tourist class cabins. With these additional flights, El Al offers 18 weekly flights to Paris.
The company added that during the summer peak season, in July and August, El Al will increase the number of weekly flights on the route to 21 flights.
