The Central Bureau of Statistics reported last week that Israel's trade deficit in February was US$699.8 million.
 
Exports were US$3.51 billion and imports reached US$ 4.21 billion. The CBS noted that on a seasonally adjusted basis, the trade deficit was US$553.3 million, as imports were US$3.82 billion, and exports were US$3.27 billion.
 
Trade deficit in 2009 was US$5.1 billion, the lowest level since 1990, and less than half of the trade deficit of US$13.2 billion in 2008.
