Avi Ardity the head of the Israeli customs directorate has announced that the new state-of-the-art computer system will begin the compulsory pilot stage on April 13th, 2015.

The “Global Gate” system is Israel's customs directorate next generation computerized system, one of the first end-to-end automated solutions for customs in the world, aiming to introduce a new generation of computerized systems, simplify the administrative burden of international movement of goods, and improve customs enforcement.
