Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) in Israel decreased to 46.80 in February from 48.10 in January of 2016.

Manufacturing PMI in Israel is reported by the Bank Hapoalim and Israeli Purchasing and Logistics Managers Association. Manufacturing PMI in Israel averaged 50.24 from 2003 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 64.70 in November of 2009 and a record low of 27.80 in December of 2008.

In Israel, the Purchasing Managers’ Index measures the performance of the manufacturing sector and is derived from a survey of a large number of industrial companies.

The Purchasing Managers Index is based on six individual indexes: New Orders, Production, Employment, Suppliers’ Delivery Time, Inventories and Prices of Raw-Materials. A reading above 50 indicates an expansion of the manufacturing sector compared to the previous month; below 50 represents a contraction; while 50 indicates no change.
