Formal announcement was made last week by BAX Global that its long time collaboration with Transclal Trade Ltd will be terminated in August 2006 .
The announcement means that Transclal will no longer act as BAX Global exclusive representative in Israel.
Transclal Trade Ltd. is one of Israel's largest freight forwarders and customs brokerage firms, Established in 1946 and has been providing logistic services for nearly 60 years. It has maintained its leadership position by offering fully integrated customer - focused services, covering all supply chain activities, using the most sophisticated fright management system.
The possibility of such action was first raised after Germany's all-dominating national rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG confirmed earlier this year the 100% purchase of BAX Global Inc, a unit of security group Brink's Co., for an undisclosed sum of up $1.2 billion.
It is believed that certain freight forwarding activities in Israel, controlled by Bax, will move to Schenker a member of the Transportation and Logistics Division of Deutsche Bahn AG. Represented in Israel by Orian Agish.
BAX Global Inc. is a $2.9 billion supply chain solutions and transportation solutions company offering multi-modal logistics management for business-to-business shippers through a global network of nearly 500 offices in 133 countries.
